Book Review - Ultramarathon Man (Mobile podcast #013)

What is it like to push yourself to your physical limit - and then beyond that?

I was fascinated by this autobiography of an extreme runner, Ultramarathon Man, which tells the story of Dean Karnazes’s journey from stressed out executive to running non-stop for 200 miles across America via ultramarathons through the desert and a marathon in the Antarctic. Fascinating stuff, Yang-May. Another author who runs long-distance is Haruki Murakami. I really enjoyed his book What I Talk About When I Talk About Running. It’s also a lot about writing, and think draws some interesting parallels between the two activities.

Yes, that book is on my wishlist. BTW, I’ve responded to your comment in more detail in my podcast at http://www.fusionview.co.uk/2010/04/using-twitter-for-moral-support-mobile-podcast-13a/
